So What Is This Fiction And Frappe Stuff?

Ta-da!

Fiction and Frappe has officially joined the blogosphere today, on August 20, 2012.  I'm so excited to introduce this blog :)

What is this Fiction and Frappe stuff?

This is an independently owned (really, it's just me) blog where you can find book reviews of the latest fiction releases.  The name 'Fiction and Frappe' was actually inspired by 'Literature and Latte,' an a-m-a-z-i-n-g group that created Scrivener, the program over which half the writers are drooling -- the other half already owns it.

What makes Fiction and Frappe different from other book review websites and blogs?

It's dedicated to new fiction releases only.  I do read the classics, and I'm pretty heavy on non-fiction as well, but the focus of this blog will be on new fiction alone.

My goal is to read and review every fiction novel as soon as it comes out.  And by 'review,' I don't mean state the main theme of the book in paragraph one, describe its method of development in paragraph two, and throw in something about exposition in paragraphs three and four.  Nah.  I always wished book reviews would be less formal.  I mean, all I want to know is: is the book interesting enough for me to read it?  That is exactly what I'm going to tell you in each review.  Was I interested, did it frustrate me or inspire me, would I recommend it to anyone or never admit I even held it in my hands?  I promise it will be plain and simple.

Why should you become a regular Fiction and Frappe reader?

Because we book nerds shall stand together.

In case that's not good enough, there's more.

I wish to inspire everyone, especially young people, to read more.  Fiction is an effective way to enjoy new experiences and enhance your worldview.  You'd be surprised how many cool things you can learn from reading fiction for enjoyment!
