I grabbed this one right off the shelf. I've never heard of it before, but the title excited me. "The Watchers" were a group of angels in the Book of Enoch (they are also mentioned in the Bible) who came down to earth and began intermarrying with beautiful women and producing giants.
Uhm, yeah. The book had everything to do with fallen angels, but it comes up closer to the end of the book. First you have to last through a lot of French dialect, the part I disliked the most because there was rarely ever a translation provided and I happened to take Spanish.
There are few mysteries sprinkled throughout the chapters, just enough to keep you wanting to read more. There are also a good number of characters sprinkled throughout the text that show up out of thin air, engage in a dialogue, and disappear. What?
Oh, and one of the three characters telling the story is a call girl. She personally doesn't contribute much in terms of furthering the plot.
